Our opponent, self-proclaimed right-wing “influencer” and GOP nominee for Secretary of State, recently claimed that Democrats and the “deep state” create school shootings as a part of an agenda so they can “make people fearful.”

This is just disgusting, Jack. Not only is this blatantly dismissive of the pain caused by school shootings, but it also pushes yet another conspiracy theory that these horrors are just “created to push agendas.”

It’s shameful that we even have to say this - the victims and survivors of school shootings across the country are REAL and deserve not only our consideration but our action. Those who would push the conspiracy theory that these tragedies are just a way to control voters should not be anywhere near public office.

The people of New Mexico deserve better. Election deniers from all over the nation are looking to make an example out of our state. Let’s show them that we value truth, and we won’t let our democracy be taken over by misinformation.
