John, my name is Brandon Wolf. I’m a Survivor of the Pulse Nightclub Shooting and LGBTQ+ rights advocate.
Six years ago, I walked into the Pulse Nightclub with my best friend Drew and his partner Juan– a place where we felt welcome and safe with our community.
In an instant, Drew, Juan, and 47 others were stolen in a blaze of gunfire by a gunman filled with hatred and armed with a weapon of war.
I made a promise to honor my friends with action. To ensure their stories were told, that their lives would matter, and that their deaths wouldn’t be in vain. I will never stop fighting for a world where LGBTQ+ people can be safe.
I’m proud to support my friend Maxwell Frost’s campaign for my home district of FL-10 because he is a gun violence prevention champion, staunch LGBTQ+ ally, and the NRA’s worst nightmare.
So today, I’m asking for your help to send Maxwell to Congress. I know he has the experience to turn his activism into transformational policy. Can you make a donation to help us reach our $11,875 goal and to help prevent future tragedies?
We are at a critical moment in history. And rising to this occasion means we need bold champions for LGBTQ+ lives — not lukewarm politicians or those just looking for a way to revive their careers — who will fight unapologetically for us.
In the six years since the Pulse shooting, there has been unprecedented support for action against gun violence and hate violence.
But far too little has been done:
– The NRA and the gun lobby continue to block meaningful gun reform.
– Politicians like Ron DeSantis continue to oppress LGBTQ+ people and deny their rights.
Maxwell’s got my vote because he has spent the last ten years standing up to the gun lobby and DeSantis during his time with the ACLU and as the Organizing Director for March for Our Lives.
And I know he will keep standing up for LGBTQ+ folks against the GOP in Congress.
