Just before Nancy Pelosi and the House Dems announced the articles of impeachment Tuesday morning, Trump tweeted that impeachment would be terrible for Democrats. According to Nate Silver’s FiveThirtyEight average of polls, almost 48% of Americans believe Trump should be impeached, while nearly 44% believe he should not.
But according to a CNN poll, 40% of Americans believe Democrats have abused their constitutional powers during the impeachment proceedings, and 55% of Americans approve of Trump’s handling of the economy.
