Friend
Thank you for your interest in the English Democrats Party.
We thank you for your support and hope that you will continue to
engage in our activities.
The English Democrats are concerned about the future of the NHS. It
has lost its vision and forgotten its core principles. Most people
know that the English have to pay for prescriptions but the other
countries in the UK don't. But it's not as simple as that.
The English Democrats are committed to making health care
responsive to local needs and accountable to the people it serves (and
who pay for it).The English Democrats will remove the unhealthy grip
of the NHS(England) head office on medical practitioners by
decentralising the NHS(England). We will devolve the NHS to the shires
and larger cities with a local structure that gives management
responsibility and accountability to the medical practitioners
themselves
- Healthcare spending is uneven across the UK.
- Healthcare spending per person was lowest in England compared to
each of the UK nations and spending in Northern Ireland was
highest.
- Health care expenditure on health has increased to 12% of GDP
much has gone to the other UK nations.
We want to ensure that all citizens are able to lead healthy and
productive lives and that when they need medical attention it is
available. Find out more about our vision in our Manifesto using the
link below.
