Patriots,

Despite the hot summer days when most state legislatures are out of session, your state freedom caucuses have been hard at work. Here are some of the highlights:

* After the FBI raided President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence, our state freedom caucuses joined the House Freedom Caucus in condemning the action.

* Nevada Freedom Caucus Chairman State Rep. Jim Wheeler stated ([link removed]) “Weaponizing law enforcement for political ends is third-world, banana republic- type stuff. It has become abundantly clear to millions of Americans that the FBI and DOJ choose to apply justice selectively and with hyper-partisan motives. How many more examples must we see? Hillary? Hunter? The list goes on...This, on the heels of Senate Democrats voting to add 87,000 new IRS agents to its ranks, should sound the alarms for Americans of all political stripes.”

* And this ([link removed]) : “The Arizona Freedom Caucus is appalled yet sadly unsurprised by the continued use of the U.S. Department of Justice as nothing more than a political weapon targeted at anyone who does not kowtow to the left. First, they weaponized the IRS against conservatives, now they weaponize the DOJ. Joe Biden and Merrick Garland have destroyed nearly any remaining faith that people once had in the FBI and DOJ.”

* In other news, South Dakota Senate President Pro Temp Lee Schoenbeck is an angry establishment leader. When conservatives, including South Dakota Freedom Caucus members, received high scores on a Citizens for Liberty legislative scorecard, Schoenbeck wrote a nasty op-ed ([link removed]) criticizing them. He argued that CFL was not a legitimate scorecard (it is) and that the conservative lawmakers were not truly being conservative (they were).

* In response to Schoenbeck’s op-ed, SDFC Chairman Aaron Aylward along with State Rep. Tom Pischke wrote a piece ([link removed]) outlining Schoenbeck’s weak credentials to be judging such scorecards. In short, Schoenbeck is a big fan of Liz Cheney, has voted for multiple tax hikes, supported medical arrests during the pandemic, and defended President Biden’s executive orders.

* It should be noted that Schoenbeck spent money in this year’s primaries trying to defeat two SDFC members – State Reps. Tina Mulally and Tony Randolph. He failed.

* Schoenbeck is one example of the hundreds of liberals who are masquerading as a “Republican” in the state legislatures. And it’s our state freedom caucuses who are going to expose them.

* At a big CPAC event in Dallas last week, conservative radio host Glenn Beck recounted ([link removed]) the awful “RegionSmart” bill that the Mississippi Freedom Caucus killed earlier this year.

* You may recall that a woke school district in South Carolina shut parents off from online access to their library. The South Carolina Freedom Caucus quickly demanded that they open it back up, which the district promptly did. But now SCFC Vice-Chairman State Rep. R.J. May has submitted a Freedom of Information Act request to the school district demanding more information about the radical ideology the district is promoting in their schools. Stay tuned for more.

* Illinois Freedom Caucus member State Rep. Adam Niemerg wrote an op-ed ([link removed]) warning about the National Sex Education Standards being implemented in Illinois schools and is urging parents to fight back. He writes, “the National Sex Education Standards go far beyond biology and seek to teach kids at young ages material that is clearly not age appropriate.”

* “The Nevada Freedom Caucus Will Safeguard The 2A From The Feds” was the headline of a recent op-ed ([link removed]) by NVFC Vice Chair State Rep. Jill Dickman and our state director, Daniel Honchariw. Key excerpt: “Assemblywoman Dickman’s proposal — supported by the full weight of the Nevada Freedom Caucus — would provide Nevadans the ability to forge our own path on preserving the Second Amendment, ensuring our great state remains a place where citizens know our rights are protected regardless of what political shenanigans take place in D.C.”

Please consider donating $10 ([link removed]) , $25 ([link removed]) , or $50 ([link removed]) so our state freedom caucuses can continue to fight for you and your family.
