Friend,
We only have 3 months until Election Day and I need your help educating Texans about cannabis and the irony that is Sid Miller’s sudden endorsement of the plant.
It’s no secret that I am passionate about the crop. As Texas’ first Cannabis Super Lawyer, I recently went on Spectrum News 1 to discuss exactly what I think Texas should do about cannabis. Click below to watch my interview if you missed it!

Lots of candidates -- Democrats and Republicans alike -- are talking about legalizing marijuana, but what will that mean in practice? Like most governing, it’s easy to promise but harder to implement in real life.
As a cannabis lawyer, I can and will lead Texas to do cannabis right.
While more and more states legalize around us, more and more cannabis products are coming across the border. Cannabis is here. Texas just isn’t dealing with it.
Since Sid Miller released his op-ed in favor of medical marijuana, I have been questioning his motive and timing. His political consultant has been indicted for trying to sell hemp licenses for tens of thousands of dollars, when they cost $100 and are unlimited. How do he and his cronies plan to abuse the power of his office next?
He’s late to the party, and Texas is already behind the times.
Texas is missing out on significant economic development opportunities and tax revenues that could benefit all Texans -- not to mention the criminal justice reforms. It’s time for the Lone Star State to get with the times and stop throwing people in jail over a plant, but I need your help to get us there.
Can I count on you to split $7 now between my campaign and your Texas Democratic Party to help us cross the finish line in November?

Friend, let’s leave the games to Sid Miller. It’s time for ethical leaders who will do the damn job.
While Miller galivants around Texas pandering to keep control, I will be spending time with grassroots voters, like yourself, fighting for rural communities, better policies, and the future of Texas.
See you on the campaign trail!
Sincerely,
Susan Hays
