Born and raised in Kailua, Patrick is a former U.S. diplomat and has two years under his belt in the State House — representing Kailua and Kāneʻohe Bay on Oʻahu. This means he has both significant foreign policy experience and a personal understanding of the unique challenges facing his community.

In the State Legislature, Patrick authored the bill which banned the possession of ghost guns, worked on reestablishing the Green Jobs Youth Corps, and secured $600 million in funding for the Department of Hawaiian Homelands. We know that Patrick would fight alongside our members in Congress to support rural communities by advancing policies that develop industry, create good-paying jobs, and end the cost and access disparities in rural healthcare.
