Humanity is at a crossroads.
We can continue down the current path of greed, consumerism, oligarchy, poverty, war, racism, and environmental catastrophe...
Or we can choose a different path.
And I don’t mean to frighten you, but the fate of our planet is at stake in the decision we make.
That is why I have asked so much of you this election. I have asked you to contribute. I have asked you to volunteer: to text, make calls and knock on doors. I have asked you to post on social media.
Because the truth is, I cannot do this alone. No one could. But our grassroots movement — our political revolution — is our best chance to beat Trump and do the work we need to do to transform this country and save our planet.
So today, as we get set to make some tough budget decisions for our campaign, I have to ask once more:
I am going to try my best to create a country in which children are not living in poverty, in which people don’t go bankrupt or die because they get sick, in which our planet is habitable for future generations.
But I cannot do that alone.
The future is in our hands. Let’s keep working.
