The voting system is not just bust, it’s bankrupt. Millions of votes were totally ignored this election, while nearly one in three were forced to vote tactically under Westminster’s one-person-takes-all system.
That’s not democracy. We say: never again. Westminster’s warped set-up is broken, and needs changing now.
When a government can get a huge majority on a minority of the vote, it’s time for reform. This election saw back-door deals between parties to stand aside, with voters denied choice.
This has to be the last election under Westminster’s rotten winner-takes-all system.
