Sexual Violence in New Mexico
& Tribal Communities Training
Join us this Fall for a 1-day training on Sexual Violence in New Mexico & Tribal Communities. The purpose of this training is to provide trauma informed education and is dedicated to helping providers learn how to work with Native survivors in a culturally sensitive way that can lead to holistic care.

Training Objectives:
Participants will...
  1. Receive an introduction to Sexual Violence in New Mexico including how Sexual Violence has impacted the LGBTQ2S+ and tribal communities.
  2. Receive an introduction to Sexual Violence Prevention and what resources to utilize in New Mexico & in Tribal Communities.
  3. Build knowledge around best practices for trauma-informed care for Sexual Violence survivors in New Mexico & in Tribal Communities, including Children.

Intended Audience: Direct service providers who provide services in the area of sexual violence and those working with "survivors" of violence and their dependent children, including but not limited to counselors, advocates, probation officers, judges, law enforcement, tribal leaders, case managers, etc.

Survey and Certificate: A certificate of completion will be issued to you after completing our training survey. A survey link will be provided to you at the end of the training. It will also be emailed out to you so you can take the survey at a later date.

Participation: We will be sending out an email two weeks before the event to folks who have registered to ask for attendance confirmation. If you confirm your spot, we will be sending a participation box via mail so when you register please provide a good shipping address.
