If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I am no career politician.

I grew up in a farming family just outside of Bunkie, Louisiana, where at an early age I was taught the value of hard work and resiliency.

Some of the most meaningful memories I have from growing up are listening to the stories from my grandfather, Charles Mixon — who served as a B-24 flight engineer in WWII. He was ultimately captured by German soldiers and spent a year as a POW at Stalag 17B prison camp. He would go on to live a life of integrity, character, and patriotism here at home.

Inspired by my grandfather, I graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy, became a fighter pilot, attended TOPGUN, and served for over 20 years.

Now I'm running for U.S. Senate because Louisiana desperately needs a leader who puts families first. I can be that leader, but I can't do it alone. Can you chip in $25 to help me defeat Sen. Kennedy this November? >>> [[link removed]]

Look, Louisiana families are worried. They are worried about our crumbling roads and bridges, clean water, funding for public schools, affordable health care, and the skyrocketing cost of gas, milk, eggs, and meat.

And what’s Senator Kennedy doing to help? He votes against Louisiana’s best interests time and again—including lower prescription drug prices and good-paying jobs.

He offers cheap soundbites on cable television instead of real solutions.

And he prioritizes partisanship over progress.

I am not in this race for fortune or fame. I’m running to represent the 70% in the middle who feel talked over and forgotten. Those who want to protect our democracy, create American jobs, make our communities safer, improve our schools, make health care more affordable, and secure a better future for our children.
