A headline from The Detroit News said it all this week:
Rep Elissa Slotkin’s reelection fight is one of four “Michigan races [that] could decide whether GOP retakes U.S. House.”
As Elissa’s campaign moves into general election mode, I want to show her that we still have her back and are fired up to do our part to protect our Democratic majority in the U.S. House.
I don’t have to tell you what a disaster it would be if Democrats were to lose the House.
You saw it first-hand. The last time Republicans were in the majority, they voted to repeal Obamacare more than 50 times. That’s not a typo — 50 times!
Look, we’ve made incredible progress since Elissa joined Congress in 2018. But we know our work isn’t done yet, not by a long shot, and right now would be the worst possible time to take a step back.
With so much riding on the outcome of Elissa’s race, you better believe right-wing mega donors are going to come at her with everything they have. They'll flood the airwaves with nasty attack ads that distort her record.
I want you to hear it directly from me:
Elissa has been there for us and I’m asking you to do your part today to show you're there for her too.
