Jack, earlier this month, multiple outlets reported that the Republican National Committee is recruiting and coaching thousands of MAGA militants to become poll workers.

To protect voters and our democracy, we need to make sure our polling places are staffed with properly trained folks who believe in democracy, and who are there because they want free and fair elections.

I've been a poll worker since 2020. It's a rewarding job that has allowed me to support my community, meet new people, and ensure our elections are fair and free. If you are able, I strongly recommend joining democracy defenders in your area and signing up to become a poll worker this election.

Right now, the Republican National Committee is recruiting poll workers who are trained by election-denying conspiracists—and directing them to battleground states. If successful, that means the people who run voting centers in November could be more interested in stopping people from voting than making it easier for voters to exercise their constitutional right.
