Working families shouldn’t have to shoulder the cost of rising inflation. That’s why Sara is working tirelessly to relieve the burden of rising costs by investing in our communities and expanding access to child care.

In this year’s government funding bills, Sara secured funding for 14 local projects that will support families in San Diego. These projects will address the shortage of reliable child care for military families, establish a pilot program to support San Diego municipal employees to afford child care, invest in community health services, provide extracurricular and career advancement opportunities for local high schoolers, and more.

And she’s still in her first term in Congress.

Sara is a strong progressive advocate working to make the expanded Child Tax Credit permanent and lower prescription drug prices. During these difficult economic times, supporting local families must be our top priority.
