Just hours after Ilhan won her primary, her conservative opponent’s campaign confirmed that he hasn’t ruled out a rematch in 2024.

We already know he’ll have the full backing of right-wing groups and billionaires. In the final days of the race, a super PAC funded by corporate interests flooded the airwaves with $625,000 worth of attack ads in a last-ditch effort to unseat Ilhan.

Their efforts failed. But we'll be honest: Our margin of victory was narrower than in 2020, and far-right groups will see it as an opportunity to pour more money and resources into defeating Ilhan in 2024.

We need to mobilize now to build the infrastructure necessary to counter our GOP challenger’s attacks this fall and prepare for an extremely competitive race in 2024.
