Hi John,

Last week's primary left us with a dangerous, extremist Trump-endorsed
slate on the November ballot. We're facing true threats to our
democracy, our rights and our state - and processing what to do now
can feel overwhelming.  

There are many ways to help and so many candidates and initiatives that
need our help. Where do you start?

You can't win Arizona without Maricopa County

The above statement couldn't be more true, but unfortunately, the
Maricopa County Democratic Party (MCDP) is struggling to garner the
financial support needed to not only win our critical county races -
from Julie Gunnigle as County Attorney to school board - but also to
set up our statewide candidates for a win.

We didn't expect a County Attorney race in 2022, but with this special
election, we have an opportunity to elect someone who will not prosecute
women and doctors for healthcare decisions.

Unfortunately, MCDP doesn't receive funding from national and top of
the ticket sources. As strange as it may seem, that money does not
trickle down. Funding comes from individual donors like you and I.

I realize it is hard right now to navigate the numerous fundraising
asks, but if you can contribute to MCDP, every dollar will make a
difference.

Volunteer Together

If you're like me, you want to help as many races as you can. So
we're forming an action crew -- an inspiring group of former campaign
friends and like-minded individuals.

We'll plan out one action each weekend starting in September, each
supporting a different key race. You pick and choose when you want to
join us. This will include some canvases, text/phone banks and some
special actions to help CD1's Jevin Hodge. Let's help him unseat
Schweikert!

Say No to Vouchers, Again

Arizonans loudly rejected voucher expansion, but the legislature ignored
our voices yet again. Help stop this attack on our public schools. If
you haven't signed the petition yet, want to circulate a petition or
need more information, find all the details here.

Can't make it to a signing event this weekend? I'll be at the Black
Rock Coffee Bar on Tatum on August 20th from 9-10:30am. Come by and
grab some coffee, chat and sign!

Fighting Cancer

Earlier this summer, you showed up and helped me raise nearly $90,000 to
support those fighting cancer here in Arizona as part of the Leukemia &
Lymphoma Society's Man/Woman of the Year campaign.

I was named runner-up and my team, Team Hope Heroes, received a special
Community Engagement award. Once a grassroots organizer for a stronger
community, always one. ❤️

I am truly grateful for all the support. Thank you.

Together, we can and do make a difference.

Remember, even when it seems impossible or daunting, we will find our
way to impact change.
