Hi there, it’s Maria. I’m Maura’s communications director.

First off, thank you for reading our emails and following along with our campaign. I want to share some of my thoughts on what makes Maura stand apart from the rest of the candidates in this race.

The biggest thing? Maura’s the only candidate who has delivered real, bold results for the people of Massachusetts:

- Maura went after the companies that created the opioid crisis. Because of her efforts, half a billion dollars is coming to Massachusetts to fund prevention and treatment services.
- She took on predatory student loan servicers and for-profit colleges, helping thousands of Massachusetts borrowers get out from under crushing debt.
- Massachusetts families can count on Maura to help with high energy bills because she already has – she’s saved us $4.5 billion that utility companies wanted to overcharge us.

We think it’s important for people to know that Maura isn’t just talk. She’s helped us afford our rent, pay our bills, and get an education. She’s never let a powerful interest stand in her way of delivering for people. In this critical moment, we know we can count on her to take on tough problems – whether that’s housing prices, climate change, or our mental health crisis.

I know you know this, but a lot of our neighbors don’t know the election is just weeks away. It’s on us to spread the word about Maura’s record and her vision for this state.

Our strategy is multi-pronged. We’re not focused on a single outlet or a single area. We need to be everywhere – your local paper, the evening news, on every social media platform, running TV ads, and out knocking on doors.

Our opponents have deep pockets, which is why we’re relying on grassroots support to fund things like our organizing program and getting ads on air.
