I’m back home from D.C. after a crazy couple of weeks, so I'm taking a few minutes to write this quick note to you:

All your words of kindness and encouragement have kept me grounded during one of the most intense months of my public service career. It means the world to me, and I can’t thank you enough.

Now that I gave you the good news, I’m going to break the bad news: Republicans are ramping up their attack ad spending to mislead voters about my record. My team and I are meeting tomorrow morning to prepare an assertive response, but I have some concerns about stretching our budget before the fall.
