John,

Last year, Republican legislators in Georgia passed a massive package of voter suppression laws — laws that we knew would have a devastating impact on voting rights and would roll back years of progress.

Now, we’re seeing that play out in real time:

“A determined group of Republicans is asking local election boards to cancel thousands of Georgia voter registrations, using a new power bestowed by the state’s voting law.”
– The Atlanta Journal Constitutional

In 2020, our team worked tirelessly with Democrats across Georgia to combat voter suppression and mobilize a grassroots movement of over 12,000 voter protection volunteers – the largest Georgia has ever seen.

That’s how we empowered Georgia voters in 2020, John – and we won.

But the thing is, Republicans know it.

They know that when Americans show up to vote, Republicans lose. So they’re doing everything they can to silence voters — even if it means employing dirty tricks and oppressive bills.

We can’t let them gain back any more power in our government, John. We’ve got to expand our voter protection efforts and ensure every single voter can make their voice heard — this year and every year.

We’re funding voter protection staff in Georgia to carry this work forward and fight for voters. But we need your help.

Please donate whatever you can to Power the Vote right now. Anything you contribute will go directly toward our efforts to defend voting rights in key states across the county.

We Fund Voter Protection

In 2020, we ran the Democratic Party’s Voter Protection Program in Georgia, when the state flipped blue for the first time in nearly 30 years.

We pioneered a new model of voter protection, built on sustained investments and long-lasting relationships.

Now, we’re building on that success and adapting the Georgia model to fight voter suppression in other states.
