Do you know a student who advocates for LGBTQ+ rights in school? Nominate them for the Student Advocate of the Year! Applications close this Sunday, August 14th, at 11:59pm ET! You can nominate a student, or if you are a student, you can nominate yourself.
Every year, GLSEN honors one exceptional student leader who has done outstanding work in making their schools inclusive and affirming for LGBTQ+ students. After an application and interview process, the selected Student Advocate of the Year and an adult chaperone will receive an all-expenses paid trip to Los Angeles, CA to be honored at the LA Respect Awards on October 14th, 2022. At the ceremony, they will have the chance to meet other LGBTQ+ student leaders and share the stage with celebrity guests.
