John, national Republicans have flat out refused to do their jobs and help the American people. They believe that voting against every bill and stalling progress is politically advantageous for them. We saw it just this past week with the Inflation Reduction Act, where Senate Republicans voted down a provision to cap insulin costs at $35 per month for folks on private insurance.

Republicans in Congress have voted against protecting abortion rights, protecting access to contraception, protecting marriage equality, and easing inflation.

They continue to put cynical politics over delivering for the folks who elected them.

It’s outrageous that the American people have to beg for their representatives to do the bare minimum. I’m proud of what Colin and his House Democratic colleagues have accomplished these past two years, and I’m looking forward to seeing how they continue to deliver for families, working folks, vets, and everyone in between.
