We are inches away from passing transformative clean energy tax credits, environmental justice investments, advanced domestic energy manufacturing, and so, so much more. And while this bill certainly doesn't include everything we wanted—and does include dangerous provisions that will harm communities in the Gulf Coast and Alaska—it's the best compromise we can achieve with this Senate. It must pass, and we must use the momentum from it to redouble our efforts for the fights still ahead.
But as we saw last year, there are some House Democrats willing to obstruct popular legislation for special interests. That's why we need to call our representatives right now and let them know their constituents want these ambitious climate investments passed.
