When people can safely get an abortion, it not only improves their own quality of life, but that of their families, communities and even countries.
I worked with Ipas colleagues and partners to review research from around the world on the impact of abortion access on society. We consistently found that when abortion is legal, available and affordable, the benefits are vast and far-reaching. It starts with the pregnant person but has a ripple effect across society.
