John — it’s Jack DeLapp, Stacey Abrams’ Director of Strategy, Targeting and Metrics. By now, you’ve heard that we’re facing more than $1 million in attack ads from Brian Kemp. But I want to show you a strategic map of Georgia so you can see what we’re doing to counter them.
When campaigns put ads on the air, they have to pay per media market, so some campaigns only pay to advertise in places they’re sure they can win.
However, since we're facing a wave of lying attack ads from Brian Kemp, we need to reach voters in every corner of Georgia, in every media market — not just Atlanta — to set the record straight.
John, we know we will not win every county or every media market in Georgia. But we also know that, in an election this close, if there is even one more vote we can earn by sharing Stacey’s message or countering Kemp’s lies — it’s worth it.
We can only win this election by engaging folks in every corner of the state — from Columbus to Savannah to Thomasville.
But all that is not inexpensive. And with the end of the week approaching, we need a surge of support to make sure our ads stay on the air. If we don’t raise the funds we need, Brian Kemp and his million-dollar attack ads will reach the critical voters we need, uncorrected.
