We’re hearing a lot of talk out there about how Democrats can’t get anything done. This is a messaging campaign invented by the GOP to continue sowing doubt in our country’s political process
When I think about Congressman Scott’s recent accomplishments, that couldn’t feel further from the truth.
Today I wanted to highlight his work on the Keeping Kids Fed Act, the passage of which was led by Congressman Scott earlier this summer.
This piece of legislation extends free summer meal programs and other flexibilities enacted at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic to expand access to school meals. Thanks to these efforts, food shortages among households with children fell by more than 40 percent. The Keep Kids Fed Act extends these program flexibilities and increases school meal reimbursement rates for the upcoming school year.
This is what Democrats ‘getting stuff done’ looks like. Don’t let the Republicans trick you into believing otherwise.
