Hi John,
We're still celebrating last week's
incredible and
overwhelming defeat of Kansas' proposed abortion ban.
If abortion rights can be protected in Kansas, they can be protected in Texas, Mississippi, and Utah –
they can be protected anywhere.
But this victory didn't come without some
serious work behind it. We have to thank local organizers, candidates, and voters who showed up and said "NAH." They came together to make this happen — and it's advocates like this who
should be in office.
There are hundreds of pro-abortion rights Run for Something candidates running for district attorney, state legislator, and city councilor in
every part of the country, including the deep red parts.
What happened in Kansas will not stay in Kansas, but we have to mobilize as well as they did to make it happen.

-
Priya Sundareshan, who just won her primary for Legislative District 18 in the Arizona State Senate, where a 15-week abortion ban is now in place. She's running on a campaign to protect and expand abortion in the state.
