Team,
July is a beautiful, albeit very hot, time of the year to travel around the Commonwealth. Over the past few weeks, I was able to visit a number of communities across Virginia to listen to folks' concerns, and talk about how I’m working to address them.
Virginians are doing great work, and I know there are ways we can improve their lives and their livelihoods if we keep doing what we are expected to do in Washington.

I got to see the impact of legislation like the American Rescue Plan and the Bipartisan Infrastructure bill all over the Commonwealth.
In Fredericksburg, I spoke with residents about the money the city is receiving to build a stage and public restrooms on the riverfront to boost the local economy.
I presented a check for $15 million at the Roanoke-Blacksburg Airport that will improve the airport and increase capacity.
In Fishersville, I talked with people about the money coming their way to expand bus service in the region, because public transit isn’t just important in huge cities.
I also got to hear about the work we still need to do. My staff and I are working hard to get more federal funding for last mile internet and cell coverage to help folks I spoke with in Craig County and Highland County. And we’re discussing ways to help the forestry workers I spoke with in Bath County who are facing challenges with inflation and with logging regulations.
But progress on these issues, and many more, will be dealth a serious blow if Republicans take the majority in November. Chip in $5 today so we can keep working for you and all other Virginians. [link removed]
Thank you,
Mark
