Salvation Army Responds to Wildfires in Newfoundland
The Army’s emergency disaster services is assisting in central Newfoundland, where wildfires have been burning for more than two weeks. Teams in several communities are providing food and drinks, as well as emotional and spiritual care to those experiencing the stress of the situation. This includes people who were stranded by highway closures, first responders and people staying at a Red Cross shelter in Deer Lake, N.L.
The division is grateful to the volunteers who make such a response possible. Learn More
