To Beth, Special Olympics is home. 

It’s where she learned to work hard and to set, reach, and exceed her goals through swimming with Special Olympics Ohio. It’s where she acquired the skills to be a leader and mentor to her peers in her community. It’s where she finally found somewhere to belong. Beth might not be the fastest swimmer ever, but she has heart, drive and determination. And that’s what really counts. 

At Special Olympics, we give athletes everything they need as kids to get started with sports and support to be a leader on and off the field as an adult. And as our movement grows, so do our athletes, like Beth.
