Six months ago, thousands of supporters like you participated in our first-ever presidential straw poll. While the field of candidates has changed, the power of the youth vote has been growing stronger every day. One of our key strategies for victory in November 2020 is to make sure that the #YouthVote is heard, and that candidates know where they need to be to win our vote.

Throughout history, progress has been made when young people rise up, take charge, and lead. We are witnessing a moment when young people, unsatisfied with the status quo, are getting into the driver’s seat to bring the change we need in the world. 

Trump and his administration have manipulated systems against us, but we are fighting back on all fronts. We are supporting businesses that align with our values — and boycotting those that do not. We are marching and protesting to demand our policies meet the imminent needs of our everyday lives from gun safety to climate action to abortion access. 

In 2020, we will need to vote together against Trump and his Republican cronies. Young voters have an important voice in this election, and we are doing all in our power to ensure the Democratic nominee reflects our values and understands the most pressing challenges for our generation.

The race to be the Democratic nominee next year is far from over — but we can’t wait to hear your thoughts.
