David
Schweikert voted against our families today.
David Schweikert voted in favor of Big Pharma.
The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) found that H.R.3 -- the Elijah E. Cummings Lower Drug Costs Now Act -- would lower prescription drug prices by about 50 percent and save $456 billion over 10 years. Today, this important bill passed the House, but with no help from Arizona's Rep. Schweikert.
David Schweikert voted to maintain sky high profit margins for Big Pharma while millions of Americans struggle to afford life-saving prescription drugs.
Deceptively, he has spent the last year trying to make us believe he is on our side. In fact, in our debate last September, David Schweikert said he was OK with Medicare being able to negotiate prescription drug prices. But he only said that to win an election. His votes against our health care in the past and his vote today tell the real story.
David Schweikert has and always will put donors and special interests first.
Today, I ask him to answer the mom in our district who can't afford her child's insulin, the cancer patient facing bankruptcy and the family facing a new MS diagnosis.
I am asking him to answer to all of us.
I hope you'll stand with me and demand better. Together, we can change the face of representation for Arizona.
In Solidarity, Anita
