The first result is out! Every year, Newcastle and Sunderland compete against
each other to be the first to declare, but both areas are safe Labour seats.

The first seat that might change, Rutherglen and Hamilton West, should declare
at around 1pm.

If you are staying up all night, you can follow the election on our new Election
Hub. The Hub summary results, such as seat shares and top tens, will update as
each result comes through with the final tables showing once all the results are
in.
