On Monday, I made an appearance on MSNBC’s The Mehdi Hasan Show, where I spoke with guest host Charles Blow on the Arkansas’ governor’s race and how we plan to win it this November. Check out our talk below if you missed it:

A national media appearance on MSNBC was definitely an unique experience for me. I feel more in my groove when I’m able to chat with folks face-to-face about their concerns and how we can best address them. Those are my favorite moments about campaigning.

But I’m committed to changing the conversation about our state, and opportunities like Monday’s MSNBC appearance are how we show the nation a state like Arkansas can and will elect Democrats to statewide office. We’re making major headway everyday, and I’m as confident as ever that with enough support, we will win this governor’s race.

Like I said in my conversation with Charles, my opponent might be outraising us at the moment, but she’s certainly not outworking us, and I believe in my heart that’s going to pay dividends down the line. We’ve got a vision for Arkansas that’s resounding with folks all across the state, and if we can turn out enough voters, we’ve got a great chance to make history.
