We have good news! According to FiveThirtyEight, Democrats are ahead on the 2022 generic congressional ballot!

For the first time since November 2021, Democrats have overtaken the GOP in the generic congressional ballot poll, a measure of general political sentiment heading into this year’s midterm elections.

Now, the outcome of this November’s election is far from certain – the margins are slim and Democrats still have a long way to go to actually hold the House and Senate. But what this DOES show is that recent Democratic momentum MATTERS.
