Hi John,
Last week, a court ordered the U.S. government to address the lingering harms from Trump's Muslim Ban! This is great news and means that, even with Biden having lifted the ban, his administration must work with individuals who were denied entry to correct the situation – and simply saying they can reapply for a visa is not enough.
This important ruling reinforces what we have been saying for the past two years: even with Trump's Muslim Ban lifted, we must continue our work to ensure this never happens again and to resolve ongoing problems from the previous administration's travel and immigration policies that continue affect many Iranian Americans and our families.
In early January of this year, NIAC and the No Muslim Ban Ever campaign spearheaded a national effort supported by over 100 organizations [[link removed]] urging Biden to do more to build equitable immigration and travel laws. We have issued 13 policy proposals for the Biden administration to implement so that families and loved ones can reunite. Some of them include:
*
Redressing
the
harm
to
those
who
were
denied
visas,
including
those
who
won
the
diversity
visa
lottery
*
Restoring

for

to

We are determined to reunite families and provide clear, and equitable pathways for Iranians and their loved ones to travel and immigrate without prejudice. If you have questions or have experienced discrimination related to travel or immigration, fill out our form. [[link removed]]
