The Georgia GOP has used the Secretary of State’s office as a base for voter suppression for years!

I know you’ve probably heard about Republican voter suppression efforts in Georgia. You’ve probably heard about how the Georgia GOP passed a voter suppression bill that makes it a crime to pass out water to voters standing in lines among other restrictions. And you’ve no doubt heard about Republican gerrymandering. And how they’ve restricted the number of secure drop boxes, making it harder for voters to safely and efficiently cast their ballots.

And all of these efforts have been just in the past year and a half!

Most recently, a Trump-appointed judge ruled that the at-large voting method for our state’s Public Service Commission violates Section 2 of the Federal Voting Rights Act and dilutes the power of Black voters. Instead of celebrating this decision and working to make a more fair and open election, Brad Raffensperger, the Republican Secretary of State, appealed the decision, hoping to continue to disenfranchise Black voters.

Raffensperger has been doing everything he can to make it more difficult for voters to cast a ballot. He has no interest in helping voters gain access to the ballot box. He has no interest in expanding the electorate.

That’s why I’m asking you to split a donation right now between my campaign and the Democratic Party of Georgia. Your donation will help move the Secretary of State’s office to the side of the people, and help the Democratic Party of Georgia contact these voters.

Raffensperger and the Georgia Republicans want to silence hundreds of thousands of Georgians. We have to stop him.
