Property Tax / Rent Rebate
|
Beginning in September, Pennsylvanians who were approved for a 2021 property tax or rent rebate will receive an additional one-time rebate equaling 70% of the original rebate amount. These bonus rebates were approved during the 2022-2023 budget process and stem from our ARPA funding.
If you already filed an application for a rebate on your property tax or rent paid in 2021, were approved, and sent the initial rebate, you do not need to take further action. These bonus payments will be sent in the same manner of the initial rebate. For more info visit revenue.pa.gov.

Inflation Reduction Act Passes Senate
|
Over the weekend, I was relieved to see the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act in the Senate. Expected to pass relatively easy in the House, this bill will lower the cost of prescription drugs, health insurance, and energy costs while reducing our deficit. Importantly, it makes the largest American investment ever in fighting climate change – finally signaling our recognition and commitment to protecting our environment and restoring the health of our planet.
We will see a rise in American jobs, manufacturing solar panels, wind turbines, and electric vehicles all for the benefit of Americans and result in a reduction of emissions by 40%.
I look forward to seeing future investments in our climate from Pennsylvania and the federal government.

Please continue to stay safe, healthy and well-informed.
