Your support makes all of our work possible — so we’re celebrating you! If you’ve donated to help us reach our goal of raising $17,000 by mid-August, take a moment to email or tweet at us telling us why you chose to give to ASAN. You’ll be entered into a raffle to choose two free items from our store, and we might share your reason on social media or in an upcoming email!
What have we accomplished thanks to your support? This year, we created accessible toolkits that ensure all people with disabilities have the tools we need to speak out about policy that affects our lives, including our plain language explainer on what’s happening at the Supreme Court. This tool lets our community learn more about the decisions affecting our lives.
We also have continued our pandemic efforts to ensure people with disabilities aren’t left out of the response to the coronavirus pandemic. Some of the work we have done includes action alerts that help our community engage in grassroots advocacy on critical issues, tracking the amount of disabled people in congregate settings lost to COVID-19, and creating up-to-date, accessible resources about COVID-19 including information on variants, vaccines, and changing guidance.
This summer we also welcomed the newest cohort of autistic college students to our third virtual and twelfth overall Autism Campus Inclusion Leadership Academy to learn to be self-advocates on and off their campuses. This program teaches leadership and advocacy skills, and helps prepare students to learn more about community organizing.
All these efforts are only possible thanks to your help. If you’d like to donate regularly and get perks in exchange, consider joining our membership program! Signing up for an ASAN membership is easy, quick, and comes with options for a variety of budgets. Interested in becoming a member? Check it out here!
If you would prefer to donate once, you can do so here.
Remember, if you tweet at us or email us telling us your reason for giving, you’ll get a chance to win your choice of any 2 items from our store.
Thank you for your continued support. We couldn’t do our work without you.
