Friend,
With Minnesota's primary election now over, the next time voters fill out their ballots, it'll be a choice between two very different views of, well, choice.
I believe women have a fundamental right to make their own decisions about their reproductive health. I do not believe politicians -- men in particular -- should be making these decisions for them, nor should we be limiting access to contraception or other basic health care.
My Republican opponent, on the other hand, is anti-choice. He believes in placing limits on reproductive rights and fundamental freedoms, including through a national abortion ban if Republicans take control of Congress and the White House.
If you believe in freedom, and if you believe that patients -- not politicians -- should make deeply personal health care decisions, will you chip in to defend freedom today?
As we saw recently in deep-red Kansas, efforts to restrict reproductive rights are broadly unpopular. In fact, 66% of all Americans believe that abortion should be legal in some form. And yet, my opponent is seeking to flip this district and turn over control to anti-choice Republicans in Congress who will turn back the clock on everything from reproductive rights to marriage equality.
Minnesota's Third District and other competitive suburban districts around the country are the firewall against these efforts, and we must successfully defend against them this November.
That is why your contribution of any amount to our campaign is so meaningful this election season. With so much at stake, we cannot take any seat for granted. Will you chip in today?
With the field now set, the choice is clearer than ever. I will always stand for freedom, accountability, and democracy – and I’m grateful to have you on my side.
-Dean
