I'm not exaggerating: Climate change is an emergency.

The U.N. talks on climate change conclude this week, and scientists have put it in no uncertain terms: We need to make real and meaningful progress on this issue in 2020.

We won't be able to do that if we don't flip the Senate next year.

That's why I need to ask: Will you contribute to grow our grassroots organization, so we can help put Democrats in a strong position to win in 2020?

In the U.S., progress on climate change has stalled.

We can't afford to go on this way. We need to hit the ground running in 2020 with actionable plans to address the climate crisis.

As the chairman of the Senate Democrats' Special Committee on the Climate Crisis, I have every intention of just doing that, but we need to take back the Senate with leaders who are also committed to this fight.

Chip in to support Democrats who will join us in combating the climate crisis →

I'm hopeful: In Madrid, where the U.N. talks are taking place, hundreds of thousands of activists have taken to the streets to demand action.

That's the sort of widespread movement we will need if we're going to tackle this climate change.

Will you join our movement? Make a contribution today →
