Thank you for the tremendous support you have offered in my campaign for Hennepin County Attorney, and for the many ways so many of you have supported me throughout the last 16 years. I have been very fortunate to serve in public office, and the opportunity to help shape the direction of Minnesota has been a life-long dream. You have made that possible for me.

We certainly have major challenges ahead of us--with crime out of control and violence ruining far too many lives. The voters of Hennepin County have an important responsibility in this next election to choose a candidate for county attorney who can help improve policing, prosecute violent crime and prevent crime through diversion and early intervention. Partnering with community leaders and law enforcement is the only way to move forward.

Please evaluate the two remaining candidates carefully, and make an informed decision. That is the responsibility of all citizens in our country, and I will be doing the same in the weeks ahead. This is an important office, and our vote matters.

Finally, I encourage you to get up and get active in this election year. Our jobs, our rights, our safety and our democratic system are all on the ballot, and the only way to win is to volunteer, donate and vote. This is not a time for excuses or inactivity. The future of public safety is on the line, and your vision for a safer Hennepin County deserves to be reflected.

This work matters, and our future together is what we make it. Thank you for the privilege of working together with you to try and create a better life for all of us.
