Earlier this week, the Senate passed the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022.

Now it’s up to the House of Representatives to pass the bill so that President Biden can sign it into law.

Here are some of the achievements of this landmark legislation:

Empower Medicare — for the first time — to negotiate the prices of some medicines.

Force multinational corporations to pay at least a 15% tax rate.

Cap out-of-pocket costs for many people who need insulin.

Make Big Business pay a 1% tax when companies buy back their own stock.

Extend health care subsidies for millions of Americans.

Support massive investments in renewable energy — the most far-reaching measures the U.S. has ever taken to address catastrophic climate change.

While this legislation does not include everything the original Build Back Better proposal once envisioned, each of its key components would be a major accomplishment in and of itself, and on balance, it will help the American people.

Tell every member of Congress:

The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 is good for everyday Americans, good for our economy, and good for our planet. Pass the legislation without delay.
