Enough is enough. Ceasefire or not, it is time to #FreeGaza Dear Email, Last week, Israel waged another war on Palestinians in Gaza. Over the span of three days, Israel killed forty-five Palestinians, including sixteen children, and injured 350. Israel has killed and injured thousands of Palestinian civilians since it imposed its illegal siege on Gaza 15 years ago. Although we are relieved to see another ceasefire go into effect, this is not the time to stop advocating for a #FreeGaza. Israel's blockade continues to destroy Palestinian lives in Gaza. Israel’s occupation forces continue to kill Palestinians in the West Bank, including 4 this week alone. Let’s make our voices heard: the U.S. government must investigate Israeli crimes and stop supplying Israel with weapons. Rather than rewarding Israel’s criminal behavior, our government must immediately bar Israel from joining the Visa Waiver Program. Take action today to ask your Members of Congress to request an immediate investigation on whether U.S. funding contributed to or supported Israel’s crimes in Gaza last week. Our government should stop sending weapons to Israel not only because that is immoral but also because it is illegal under US law to supply abusive regimes with weapons that they use to commit war crimes. Israel’s discriminatory practices also make it simply ineligible to join the Visa Waiver Program. For years Israel has showcased systematic discriminatory practices resulting in the harassment and denial of entry for countless Americans of particular ethnic and religious backgrounds. Admitting Israel to the program after last week’s bloodshed in Gaza is simply unconscionable. This is what you can do now to make your voice heard: 1- Click here to take action today: Our system will send a message to your Members of Congress and to the Department of State demanding accountability. Our system will also send a message to the Department of Homeland Security to demand that Israel is not admitted into the Visa Waiver Program. 2- Join us for our virtual Palestine Advocacy Days next month, the largest Palestine advocacy initiative in the U.S. On September 19-23, join over 1,000 activists from around the country to advance the cause for justice in Palestine. It’s virtual, it’s free, and it’s the best way to make sure our government hears our calls for peace and justice for Palestine. |
