John — in June, the Supreme Court OVERTURNED Roe v. Wade.
Roy has blocked Republicans at every turn to defend reproductive rights in our state, so now GOP legislators are desperately trying to get around him. They’re suing to impose extreme restrictions on abortion access.
Now that Roe has fallen, a GOP-passed law that was unconstitutional might now be allowed to go into effect.
But even worse could come after November if NC Republicans gain a supermajority in Raleigh. They’d be able to push through radical legislation that’s wrong for our state — even an outright ban on abortion.
