Hey New Orleans! Here's what's going on with the Chapter this week:
Huge shoutout to everyone who helped plan and pull off our Brake Light Clinic and Health Fair this weekend! Positive vibes, great conversations, and incredible turnout. Thanks to everyone who volunteered, and to our community partners for coming through! Much love to the Renters Rights Assembly, Trystereo, and Cresecnt Care NOLA for tabling with us and providing supplies. The team is doing a debrief tonight at 6pm, register for that call here!
The Comms Admin Group is looking for members interested in helping to manage our chapter-wide external communications, including chapter websites and social media, and a bunch more. If you're a graphic designer, writer, web person, or otherwise interested in lifting up the voices of our member-workers, coalition partners, and working class allies in the struggle for international socialism, give us a shout! Hit us up with a note to [email protected], and let us know, "I'm interested in Comms!"
Can you believe that we're only 12 weeks away from November elections? Are you registered to vote? Want to know what's going on the ballot? Join our #Municipal-Action-Committee Slack channel as we gear up for our Voter Guide! We're looking for researchers and writers to cover races throughout the Greater New Orleans area. If you're not on Slack but would like to help out, email us here ([email protected]), and keep an eye on our events page for future meeting dates.
Solidarity,
New Orleans DSA Local Council

New to DSA? Check out our chapter's new member resources here. If you've got any questions about how to get involved or the work our chapter is doing, give us a shout at [email protected].
Not yet a member? The most important tool that the working class has is organization. We're strong when we fight together. We have to build a durable, mass political organization to wield the kind of power we need to win real change in our society. If you aren't a dues-paying member of DSA yet, join today!
