As part of HER Time's Guide to a Post-Roe World, we created petitions as a way to demand short-term political action from our leaders. Women's lives are on the line now, which means we cannot wait until November to protect abortion rights.
The Executive Order passed by President Biden in July was a good start, but there's still a LOT that must be done.
You can click here to send a letter to President Biden asking him to take the following actions:
🏥 Create clinics on federal land
💊 Protect access to medicated abortions
✈️ Provide resources to individuals who have to travel out-of-state for care
🩺 Create a position of reproductive health ombudsman at the Department of Health and Human Services
🤳 Clarify privacy concerns in period tracking applications
💆🏼♀️ Provide paid time off and travel to federal employees seeking abortions
🗣 Provide clear communication about safe abortion options
📚 Run a public education campaign on Plan C
We won't stop fighting until the right to abortion is codified federally. But until we have the votes to make that happen, we must do everything in our power to make sure women across the country are safe, informed, and supported.
