Team, Kansas is proof of the power of organizing.
Last week, Kansans shut down any questions about where they stand on abortion rights. In a landslide victory on Tuesday, voters from across the political spectrum voted to protect abortion access, defeating a constitutional amendment that would have paved the way to a total abortion ban in the state.
I applaud the organizers and activists in Kansas who fought tooth and nail for freedom. It shouldn't matter where you live. Everyone deserves access to a full spectrum of reproductive health care in their own community.
I have been consistent on this issue my entire life , because women deserve a choice and freedom. Period. My opponent has openly supported anti-abortion Republican lawmakers and has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to their causes. He's a life-long, former Republican, who registered as a Democrat just weeks before filing for this election.
Angelenos deserve better. That's why today, I'm asking you to take action.
