Our access to clean, safe, and affordable drinking water in California is being decided upon TOMORROW in a key Senate Committee hearing!

This decision will affect every Californian, without question. But it will have an even greater impact on low-income communities and communities of color who exclusively rely on groundwater for drinking, cooking, and bathing. 

AB 2201, or the Community Drinking Water Protection Act, will protect the state’s groundwater basins and beef up regulations to prevent industries from over-pumping and contaminating our water supply. 

We need your help to add as much pressure as we can to get this bill passed!

It is truly horrifying that over a million Californians currently don’t have access to clean drinking water.

California has a long history of large corporations over-pumping our groundwater without sufficiently considering how it would impact the drinking water for disadvantaged communities. 

Accessing safe and clean drinking water is a human right. And we as Californians must advocate to protect water equity for all of us.

So before Thursday’s key committee hearing, call your State Senator and urge them to vote YES on AB 2201 to protect our drinking water.
