We did it!
First things first: I can’t thank you and this grassroots movement enough for all you’ve done for our campaign this far. Because of all of you, we’ve secured the Democratic nomination for Vermont’s open Senate seat and we’ll be moving on to this November’s general election.
We’ve all worked so hard for this win, so please take a moment to appreciate this milestone. I’ve experienced the heartbreak of losing an election, so I know how tough it can be to even win a primary. Everything I’ve seen from this team on the long road here—the passion, the fight, the commitment—lets me know we’ve got a lot of what we need to get us across the finish line come November.
And yet we’re really just getting started. Today marks 90 days until the midterms, and that’s 90 days of knocking on doors, calling our neighbors, pounding the pavement, and giving everything we’ve got left to win this election and keep this Senate seat blue. With a 50-50 Senate that’s up for grabs, we can’t leave anything up to chance, and that’s why I’m personally counting on your continued support.

The stakes are high in this election. Our opponent Gerald Malloy opposes reproductive rights and the Inflation Reduction Act. Now that national Republicans know they have an extremist as their nominee in Vermont, they’ll flood money into this race. And if we lose, Mitch McConnell will take control of the Senate again.
That’s why these 90 days until the midterms are so critical, because meeting and even exceeding our fundraising goals puts us in the best position to win this election. Our progressive agenda is at stake, and we can’t come up short here when it matters the most.
Thanks again for all you do,
Peter
