Friend – I'm less than 24 hours away from my fundraising numbers going public before my primary election. With experts saying this race could determine which party wins Senate control, I had to reach out and ask for your immediate support.

Look, I'll put my record up against Marco Rubio's any day: While I've been protecting our streets and fighting to defend our democracy in Congress, he's been cozying up to far-right millionaire donors to cling to power. Now that we're neck and neck in this race, he's calling in favors from these powerful GOP donors and running attack ads to smear my reputation.

It's going to be tough to go up against such a powerful incumbent, but I know we can win. Marco Rubio may have far-right millionaires on his side, but I have someone better: You. Grassroots donors like you have helped me outraise Rubio every single quarter – but with my primary right around the corner, my fundraising has slowed at the worst possible moment.

I can't afford to fall short right before the primary election – not when Senate control is on the line – so I'm respectfully asking: Friend, will you please donate $5 – or whatever you can spare before midnight – to help me reach my goal, defeat Rubio and flip Florida blue?
